My name is Sean Hammond and I began Surf Star Media in 2004. Essentially, I’m a hired gun. A digital mercenary. A contractor. A freelancer. Clients bring me on to complete projects, manage campaigns, and document events.

When we cut through the noise, at the heart of media and marketing, we are trying to inspire believes, desires, and emotions. We ask for attention, and it's our responsiblity to deliver meaningful messages.

Founded In 2004

Surf Star Media began out of necessity. Because I was the youngest working in a cubie in an office, my bosses assumed I understood technology. Their pet projects got me out of my regular work, so I accepted the challenge.

I learned Photoshop and video editing as I went. I eventually started street teaming for bands and we needed flyers. Then we needed a website. Then I was asked to run audio.

After more than two decades, I've been fortunate to build quite the resume. I've worked alongside some of biggest pop stars, celebrities, and athletes.

I've traveled across North America on a rock n' roll tour bus, I've been on expeditions to some of the most remote regions of the Western Hemisphere, I've helped ball players win championship rings – and I spent my time documenting it and presenting my stories to the world in one fashion or another.

When I'm not being creative for others, I'm being creative for myself. So far, I've written three books and have shared them at comic cons and pop cultures events across the nation. I've been included on panels to discussing writing, science fiction, and philosophy. I've been guest on podcasts and radio shows discussing existentialism and artificial intelligence. Somewhere along the way, I managed to earn a B.A. in Philosophy from UNLV.

I'm a busy person – meaning, I must keep myself occupied with a project. It's a compulsion. Technology is always changing and evolving, and there's no time to be complacent. Right now, I'm obsessed with Artificial Intelligence.

After living out west most of my life, my studio is now located in the western mountains of Maine. It's a beautiful, fully functional creative space for design, recording, and production.

With exposed trusses and high cathedral ceilings, the THX Certified 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos control room offers the latest technology with premier sound treatment.
The isolation booth is specifically designed for tracking vocals and spoken word.
Our products are developed with Apple machines that make use of Adobe Creative Suite, Topaz Labs, Gemini, GPT, LeonardoAI, and Eleven Labs.
Professional printing capabilities delivering museum quality products up to 17" x 22".

Small Businesses

The majority of my clients are small business owners. Mechanics, restaurants, insurance agents, framing companies, general contractors, and real estate agents. These people are looking a professional web presence to engage with their customers – they wish to present a sleek portfolio to showcase their work and legitimize their business.

The work I do for these companies generally focuses on designing and building a website. Within this, we update and improve logos, provide additional graphic design, and capture a tremendous amount of photography and video.

A full campaign can see my work extend to print advertising, regional radio commercials, a variety of web videos, and local televsion commercials. It's important that local businesses reach and generate awareness within their local community. We help them tell their story.

Corporations generally hire me for specific marketing campaigns and to document and capture special events. They're looking to interject creativity and storytelling into their brand.
